Flowering period:
June to August.
Habitats:
Montane on damp rock ledges, open edge of stony streams and flushes, also open grassland. Prefers base-rich substrates.
Threats:
Overgrazing by livestock. Drainage and cutting of peat within upland blanket bog. Being an Arctic-alpine species, climate change is likely to have an adverse effect in the long term.
