Habitats: 

Well drained basic soil. Limestone grasslands. Calcareous dunes and machair. Cuttings and quarries. Mainly lowland. 

Threats:

Agricultural intensification. Changes in grazing density, regime and/or livestock e.g. cattle to sheep. Afforestation.
