July and August.
Habitats:
Stony or gravelly margins of montane streams. Open stony flushes. Cliffs wetted by base-rich water.
Threats:
Overgrazing by livestock. Under-grazing by livestock resulting in shading from taller forbs and scrub. Eutrophication from agricultural run-off. Being an Arctic-alpine species, S. aizoides may succumb to the effects of climate change in the longer term.
