May and June.
Habitats:
Found on grazed grasslands, scrub, heath, short sward grasslands, rocky outcrops, limestone pavement inland and maritime cliffs. Wet calcareous to acidic soils.
Threats:
Decline due to overgrazing. Undergrazing leading to vegetational succession to woodland. Heath fires. Afforestation. Scrub clearance. Infection with Phytophthora austrocedrae.
