Life-form & Growth Form:
Hemicryptophyte/chamaephyte. Herbaceous perennial. Rhizomatous, rhizome far-creeping.
Flowering period:
July and August.
Habitats:
Rocky coastal habitats including sea walls, sea cliffs, shingle, waste ground and the upper, drier parts of saltmarsh.
Threats:
Habitat loss through agricultural improvement of coastal habitats and coastal squeeze. The small population size and single site distribution leaves this species at great risk of regional extinction.
