Foliose green thallus grows closely appressed to tree bark.

Habitats:
Found primarily growing on bark of Quercus, Fraxinus, Ulmus and Fagus, within long-established/ancient woodland; occasionally also on sheltered rocks within woodland.
Threats:
As both stations are relatively well protected within ASSIs, the only viable threat appears to be air pollution.
