Habitats: 

Restricted in Northern Ireland to botanically rich fen and calcareous flush. Damp, base-rich habitats. Marshes, water meadows. Lowland. 

Threats:

Habitat loss and fragmentation through peat cutting, peatland drainage, encroachment of scrub and woodland, coniferous afforestation, improvement for agriculture and burning of bog vegetation. Overgrazing by livestock.
